WINE LOVERS: for the wine tour

Wine, what a passion! We do our best to select the best wines from our area for you. We want to offer you a service that’s unique in its kind: an opportunity to taste the best wines without having to travel, here in our WINE EXPERIENCE WINERY or our restaurant IL MELOGRANO. Each day we read up and search for fine, quality wines, created with love, in order to offer you a unique experience.

We are fascinated by this world and we want to share our enthusiasm with you and present what our land has to offer, from the Brenta to the Piave, and from the hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene, a world heritage site, to the hills of Asolo and Montello

Our sommeliers present weekly tasting sessions, and we have a monthly commitment to offer our guests, friends and followers tasting experiences with expert sommeliers, who have been dedicated for years to patiently training new sommeliers, judging award ceremonies during events and other activities in the world of wine.

The Colli Asolani area of the Altamarca Trevigiana region is rich in history, art and excellent typical products, in particular ASOLO PROSECCO SUPERIORE DOCG and VALDOBBIADENE CONEGLIANO PROSECCO SUPERIORE DOCG, as well as Montello Rosso DOCG, a wine inspired by the French Bordeaux method.

The Montello Rosso name, used for the two versions Montello Rosso and Montello Rosso Superiore, is reserved for wine obtained from 40-70% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and 30-60% Merlot, Cabernet Franc and/or Carmenère grapes.

This wine of great quality and bold character has over sixty years of tradition and comes from Bordeaux vines cultivated on the clayey hills of Montello, where the characteristics of the terroir, with a dry summer climate and harsh winters, steep slopes and particular terrain, give rise to a limited production of excellent quality.

Other wines worthy of mention: the great Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore di CARTIZZE is the cru of the appellation and is represented by a small area of 107 hectares of vineyards, between the steepest hills of San Pietro di Barbozza, Santo Stefano and Saccol, in the municipality of Valdobbiadene.

You can also save yourself considerable time by purchasing the wines directly at the San Giacomo Wine Hotel.
