Hiking around Monte Grappa and the Prosecco hills, with Nordic walking, urban trekking and nature trails.
Nordic walking is very much at home at Wine Hotel San Giacomo: Giamaica, our manager and Nordic walking instructor, will be on hand to welcome you every day. For those who are unfamiliar with it, this is a type of walking done with the help of special poles and is becoming increasingly popular in Italy. If you don’t want to give up the good habits you’ve got into at home or you fancy trying this interesting sport, you can take advantage of Giamaica’s recommendations.
We can advise you on the best routes for solo or group walks, such as the Due Rocche (Two Fortresses) route.
Take a look at these 50 routes, all within a few kilometers of us: MONTEGRAPPA SLOW PARK
If you’re more of a nature lover, there are plenty of nature trails we can recommend:
- OASI SAN DANIELE, an oasis of peace where you can stop for a tasty packed lunch
- Then we have the EZZELINI TRAIL, which continues as far as Padua with SAINT ANTHONY’S WAY.
If you want to walk at altitude and also trek in the footsteps of the Great War, we suggest:

Other wonderful trails include the Molinetto della Croda and the Alta Via in the Treviso Prealps (https://www.magicoveneto.it) or https://www.laviadelleprealpi.it/it.
In the area you’ll also find numerous urban hiking routes through wonderful towns and villages such as Asolo, Bassano del Grappa, Marostica, Castelfranco and Treviso – nowadays, hiking doesn’t just mean mountains!
To round out your day, we recommend a Detox package at our LA VIGNA SPA wellness area and a balanced, revitalising dinner.
