What to see in Follina, a small guide in order to not miss any places of interest/attraction

What to visit in Follina

The Abbey of Santa Maria: an unusually well-preserved architectural gem, it was built in the 13th century by Cistercian monks, who made the town a valuable production centre for woven wool and fine fabrics. The 13th-century cloister has a fascinating play of light.

The Andreatta Wool Mill is a notable example of industrial archaeology dating back to around 1820. It was then converted into a boarding school and subsequently into a cultural centre.

What to see near Follina

The town is very small, so we also include some other sites to visit in the surrounding area:

Molinetto della Croda:

The Molinetto della Croda will enchant you at first sight. An example of 17th-century rural architecture, it is set within a natural landscape with a magical aura.

Numerous footpaths start from here for pleasant walks, and as the area is known for its excellent wines (in particular the Prosecco and Marzemino Refrontolo Passito DOC), there are also opportunities to taste them.

 An interesting fact:

Follina also delighted world-famous star Robbie Williams, who gave a private show for Luxottica employees in December 2018. Italian charm is impossible to resist!

WHEN TO VISIT:
